Greg VanWaldron is a fine art photographer utilizing traditional film as well as digital photography formats to create images.

Photography has been in my life for as long as I can remember. While in the US Navy I served as a shipboard photographer and instructed a Navy wide basic photography course. Since retirement from the Navy I have attended the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in the photography program in the Photography BFA program.

On the personal side, I have been taking my own photography practice seriously since 2006. I have primarily focused on Landscape, Cityscape, and Ocean themed photographs. I love photographing the ocean and mountains, ships, tall buildings, and lifestyle portraits. I enjoy using film in 35mm and medium format, as well as having access to large format 4×5 and 8×10 cameras, in both black & white and color films. In digital formats I use both high resolution color and monochrome photography.

I bring a Fine Art style of compositions to the weddings, engagements, and ceremonies I have been requested to work at. Meaning I don’t treat these special events like a typical wedding/event photographer. I won’t take 1,000 photos that are the same sort found in every wedding portfolio. I look for unique lighting and compositions. My goal is to get the best shots for you to keep and send to friends and family, but these photographs won’t look like anything on a typical wedding website.
